Are you a SENCO or a qualified SEND teacher ready to step into a role where you can genuinely help shape a small specialist provision?
This is a rare opportunity to join a highly personalised setting currently supporting a small number of pupils with significant special needs.
This is not a paperwork-only SENCO position. It is a visible, hands-on role within a trauma-informed, relational environment.
The Role You will combine classroom teaching with SENCO leadership responsibility across the provision.
You will teach and plan for a core group of four pupils while overseeing EHCP processes, professional liaison and curriculum development.
Key responsibilities include:
Teaching and planning for pupils working at early developmental levels
Leading EHCP reviews
Maintaining and overseeing PEP documentation
Liaising with social workers, LD teams and external professionals
Coaching and supporting staff
Strengthening and modelling a trauma-informed, relational culture
About You QTS essential
Strong SEND classroom experience
Any experience leading EHCP processes would be beneficial
Interested in a trauma informed, nurturing, child centred approach

A formal SENCO qualification is desirable but not essential. The school is open to supporting accreditation for the right long-term candidate.
