About the Role
Veritas Education is looking to appoint a dedicated and compassionate
SEND Teaching Assistant
to provide 1:1 support
for a pupil in a welcoming primary school based in
Preston
. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and helping them thrive both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored 1:1 support to a pupil with identified SEND needs
Adapt learning materials to suit individual requirements
Support the class teacher with planning and delivering engaging activities
Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
Monitor the pupil's progress and provide feedback to staff and parents
Foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience working with children with SEND (e.g. Autism, ADHD, SEMH, Speech & Language needs) A patient, calm, and empathetic approach
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
The ability to work collaboratively as part of a supportive team
A genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential
