Contract Type: Temporary, Full-Time (Term-Time only)

Working Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm

Pay: £500-£600 per week

Do you have a passion for supporting children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)? We're looking for a caring, patient, and committed Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Blyth, where your support will genuinely change a child's school experience.

This is a rewarding role for someone who enjoys building relationships, creating calm and structured environments, and helping pupils feel confident, safe, and understood.

Due to the remote location, this role would be ideal for someone with own transport.

Teaching Assistant Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with ASC Support students with communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation Implement strategies in line with EHCPs and individual support plans Use structured approaches such as visual timetables and sensory strategies Support behaviour management and promote positive learning outcomes Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider support staff Help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment Experience, Training & Qualifications

Experience supporting children or young people with ASC (school or care setting) Understanding of SEN and inclusive education practices Calm, patient, and empathetic approach Relevant training (e.g. autism awareness, safeguarding) is desirable but not essentialRequirements
