SEND Teaching Assistant – Full-time, long-term temporary and ongoing role starting as soon as possible

Provide full‑time, individual support to a 13‑year‑old pupil functioning at a very low level
Assist with communication, engagement, and emotional regulation strategies
Help reinforce learning tasks through repetition, modelling, and scaffolded support
Work closely with teaching staff to implement personalised learning plans
Support with daily routines, transitions, and sensory or behavioural needs
Build a calm, trusting relationship to support engagement in lessons
Adapt approaches based on the pupil’s developmental profile
Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil well‑beingIdeal SEND Teaching Assistant:
