Job Description

Senior AI Engineer:

£90-105k + 10% quarterly bonus

Xcede is partnering with a rapidly scaling fintech business that is building AI at the heart of its platform.

They are looking for a senior AI-focused engineer to act as a central force in shaping and executing their AI strategy, helping the organisation transition into a truly AI-enabled business.

You will own the delivery of production-grade AI systems end to end, from early experimentation through to live deployment, building personalised, automated, and scalable capabilities across a cloud- environment using LLMs, agent-based systems, and retrieval techniques. The role involves close collaboration with product, engineering, and data teams, as well as mentoring and influencing best practices across the wider organisation.

Requirements:

Experience as a computer science or software engineer

Proficiency in Python

Experience using machine learning and AI frameworks

Worked with LLMs

Solid understanding of data modelling, statistical methods, and experimental design

Experience developing APIs and embedding models within production systems

Hands-on experience with cloud-based AI infrastructure and modern LLMOps/MLOps workflows

Demonstrated ability to balance speed of delivery with technical excellence

Ability to collaborate effectively

Ability to communicate effectively
