We are looking for a Senior Bid Manager to join our energy sector. As a Senior Bid Manager, you will be responsible for delivering winning bids for the energy sector in England and Wales.This role will be based in Wellingborough with a hybrid working model offering flexibility between home, office, and site/client visits. You will lead on complex or JV bids with clear communication lines established with all members of the bid team throughout the bid process. For Joint Venture bids, ensure that agreement in place between the parties at the commencement of the bid covering company processes and procedures, systems to be used/ software platforms for document management/ common data environment, allocation of the various aspects of the bid are agreed and that suitable governance provisions to meet the requirements of both JV partners are in place. Establish the bid resource needs prior to commencing and evaluate the team members support and training needs Needs to be able to unify multiple organisations. Building relationships quickly with other organisations and able to secure the best 'athlete' for each position within the bid. Drive and energise the bid team to achieve a successful outcome for each allocated tender. Follow designated processes and best practice in place within organisation. Continually evaluate winning strategy and direct team and resources to focus on activities which will enhance chance of bid success. Agree / arrange bid resources with the Sector Preconstruction Lead. Manage tender programme. Arrange all necessary internal meetings
tender startup / settlement and others identified in the BAM primary processes for commercial and technical assurance of bids. Agree bid budget and monitor expenditure with Sector Preconstruction Lead. Ensure that a coherent bid strategy in developed, working in conjunction with the Sector Preconstruction Lead, Sector Director and key team members. Decide what queries we raise in line with the tender strategy. Ensure that key supply chain packages are identified and suitable delivery partners identified and onboarded. Communicate/ share the bid strategy with the whole bid team. Adhere to all company and group governance procedures. Oversee the production of stage-gate documentation and secure the required approvals. Verify that tender documentation undergoes the appropriate technical review. Confirm that technical start-ups and technical reviews are completed. Review the programme and reconcile resources with the estimator. Verify that relevant and timely information on the technical is provided to the submissions team. What do you bring to the role?
Strong knowledge of the UK Construction market Good communication skills The following are desirable requirements: Degree, HND in Civil Engineering or NVQ equivalent level Successful experience in Civil Engineering to Project/ Contract Manager level Bid Management training/ qualification (Shipley/ APMP or equivalent) Professionally qualified to Chartered Engineer or equivalent level Whats in it for you?
