Salary: Up to £65,000 + performance-based bonuses

About the Role

Hab Consult is seeking an ambitious and motivated Chartered Building Surveyor to join our growing consultancy. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone who wants to step into a leadership role, with a clear path to partnership for the right candidate.

You will work across a broad portfolio of projects and professional instructions, delivering technical advice to a loyal client base that includes property investors, landlords, developers, and occupiers.

We are looking for a candidate with excellent technical and commercial knowledge, a client-first attitude, and the drive to help shape the future of a forward-thinking practice.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver a range of professional and project-based building surveying services

Undertake defect analysis, technical due diligence, and planned maintenance programmes

Manage refurbishment, repair and fit-out schemes from feasibility to completion

Prepare specifications, schedules of work, and administer JCT contracts

Lead on dilapidations matters, including inspections, reports, and negotiations

Support insurance reinstatement cost assessments with accurate measured surveys

Build strong client relationships through consistent, high-quality delivery

Mentor and supervise graduate or junior surveyors when appropriate

Candidate Requirements

Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS)

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a consultancy or client-side environment

Excellent knowledge of building pathology, contracts, and relevant legislation

Confident in delivering advice independently and in managing client expectations

Strong report writing and communication skills

Proactive, commercially minded, and career-focused
