Senior Care Assistant (Days)
to join a welcoming 14-bed residential care home in Havant, working within a non-profit charitable organisation. This well-established home is located in the beautiful conservation area of Old Bedhampton and has been owned by a local trust since 1983. As a charity-run service, the focus is firmly on quality of care and residents' wellbeing rather than profit. With just 14 residents, the home offers a truly person-centred environment where care is tailored to each individual. The team is committed to creating a safe, comfortable home-from-home setting where residents are encouraged to remain as independent as possible and are always treated with dignity and respect. The Day Role As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a key leadership role within the home, supporting residents while overseeing the smooth running of the shift. Key Responsibilities: • Leading and supervising the care team on shift • Administering and managing medication in line with training • Supporting residents with personal care and daily living needs • Acting as the senior person on duty in the absence of the Manager • Overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day running of the home • Monitoring residents' wellbeing and responding to any changes • Maintaining accurate care records and documentation • Promoting a safe, caring, and person-centred environment Life Within the Home Residents enjoy a rich and varied lifestyle, including: • Daily activities and gentle exercise programmes • Arts, crafts, music, games, and book clubs • Performances from entertainers, musicians, and singers • Seasonal celebrations and special events • Access to beautiful gardens with visiting family • On-site beauty therapy and hairdressing • Nutritious, freshly prepared meals ?
