Senior Residential Support Worker . This is a key role within a small, supportive childrens home in
Stockport , supporting young people aged 818 with complex emotional and behavioural needs.

Your Role
This is a hands-on leadership position requiring professionalism, empathy, and accountability. Youll play an active role in supporting young people while guiding and developing your team. Key Responsibilities: Lead shifts, handovers, and team meetings
Supervise and mentor Residential Support Workers
Maintain accurate and up-to-date care documentation (risk assessments, care plans, behaviour support plans)
Attend and contribute to LAC reviews, PEP meetings, and multi-agency forums
Produce clear, professional reports for external professionals
Support therapeutic routines and uphold safeguarding practices at all times
Oversee petty cash, shift planning, and day-to-day household tasks
Essential Requirements
Minimum
12 months recent experience
in a childrens residential home
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare
(or willingness to complete with full support)
Strong knowledge of safeguarding, care planning, and staff supervision
Excellent communication and report-writing skills
Full UK driving licence
Right to work in the UK and
minimum 3 years UK residency
(required for funded qualifications)
