Senior Civil Design Engineer\n\nClean & Wastewater Infrastructure\n\nManchester | Hybrid / Flexible Working\n Contract Opportunity - Outside IR35\n\nOur client is a specialist engineering design company delivering complex clean and wastewater infrastructure projects across the UK. Due to increased project demand, they are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Design Engineer to join their Manchester team on a contract basis.\n\nThis role offers the chance to work on technically challenging schemes within a flexible, well-supported design environment.\n\nThe Role\n\nAs a Senior Civil Design Engineer, you will:\n\nLead and deliver civil design packages for clean and wastewater projects\n\nProduce and check detailed designs, calculations, drawings, and specifications\n\nProvide technical oversight and support to junior engineers\n\nWork closely with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders\n\nEnsure compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and client requirements\n\nAbout You\n\nYou will have:\n\nA degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)\n\nIdeally strong experience in clean and/or wastewater infrastructure design\n\nProven ability to deliver projects to programme and budget\n\nProficiency with industry-standard design tools and software\n\nExcellent communication skills and a hands-on, delivery-focused mindset\n\nChartered status or working towards chartership is desirable but not essential for this contract role.\n\nWhat’s On Offer\n\nCompetitive outside or inside IR35 day rate (depending on engagement)\n\nFlexible and hybrid working arrangements\n\nImmediate involvement in live, long-term projects\n\nOpportunity for contract extension based on workload\n\nIf you’re a Senior Civil Design Engineer looking for a flexible contract role with a specialist water-sector consultancy, we’d like to hear from you.\n\nApply now or contact us for a confidential discussion
