This is a contract opportunity operating outside IR35, offering long-term project stability and hybrid working.\n\nYou will provide hands-on technical expertise across the full project lifecycle, supporting design, coordination, and delivery on critical water industry schemes.\n\nAbout Our Client:\n\nOur client is a well-established UK engineering consultancy with a strong presence in the water sector. They are recognised for delivering technically robust, sustainable solutions and for working collaboratively with contractors, clients, and stakeholders across major programmes.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nProject Delivery\n\nSupport and deliver water sector projects from design through to completion\nProvide technical input and problem-solving support to project teams\nEnsure work is delivered to programme, budget, and quality standardsClient & Stakeholder Collaboration\n\nWork closely with clients to understand scope and requirements\nCommunicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholdersCross-Disciplinary Working\n\nCoordinate with contractors, structural engineers, and environmental specialists\nContribute to a collaborative and solutions-focused project environmentQuality & Compliance\n\nApply quality assurance procedures to all engineering outputs\nReview designs and documentation to ensure compliance with standardsInnovation & Best Practice\n\nKeep up to date with industry standards, guidance, and emerging technologies\nContribute to efficient, sustainable engineering solutions \n\nWhat Our Client is Looking For:\n\nCivil Engineering degree (or equivalent experience)\nMinimum of 3 years' experience in the UK water industry\nStrong background in water infrastructure (trunk mains, distribution mains, strategic connections)\nExperience with non-infrastructure works such as production site civils and structural alterations\nProficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and relevant design tools\nAbility to work autonomously within a contract environment \n\nWhat Our Client Offers:\n\n£35-£45 per hour, Outside IR35\nHybrid working model\nLong-term contract potential\nExposure to significant UK water infrastructure programmes\nA professional, delivery-focused environment \n\nEligibility:\n\nRight to work in the UK\nProven UK water sector experience \n\nOpportunity for Growth:\n\nThis contract offers the chance to extend, move across projects, and build long-term relationships within a consultancy delivering sustained water sector programmes.\n\nWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity in our company.
