Senior Commercial Contracts Manager
Venn Group are working exclusively with a healthcare organisation based in London, who are looking to recruit a Senior Commercial Contracts Manager on a permanent basis.
Our client is a leading provider of healthcare support services, and partner with healthcare providers enabling them to provide high world class patient care.
The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of high-value, high-risk contracts by ensuring legal compliance, governance, and alignment with strategic objectives. Regularly review supplier performance against SLAs and KPIs and negotiate contract variations. Collaborate with the Managed Services team to present contract performance, identify and mitigate risks, and drive cost improvement initiatives. Provide financial analysis to support budget management and maintain accurate records for audit and compliance.
Salary: £61,900 - £68,600 (+12% bonus)
Location: South London – 3 days on site 2 remote
Duration: Permanent
Hours: 37.5 a week, Mon-Fri
Key Duties:
Manage a portfolio of high-value, high-risk contracts aligned to strategic priorities
Ensure full legal compliance and governance, proactively mitigating contractual risks
Conduct supplier performance reviews, driving adherence to SLAs and KPIs
Collaborate with the Managed Services team to present contract performance updates across departments
Engage with key stakeholders including procurement and finance, offering insights and solutions
Lead cost improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce spend
Provide accurate contract spend tracking and financial analysis to support budgeting
Identify and manage contractual risks, implementing performance remedies when needed
Person Specification:
NHS or wider public sector contract management experience
Proven track record managing contracts valued £5M–£10M
Strong post-award supplier management experience
Excellent stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration skills
Comfortable working with commissioning teams or from a commissioning background
Experience handling unexpected events (e.g. supplier insolvency) and navigating disputes
Skilled in negotiation, mediation, and managing supplier escalations
Ability to define and monitor supplier KPIs and compliance requirements
Focused on contracts with strategic value—especially in medical devices, consumables, and patient services
