Rolls‑Royce SMR provides a British solution to a global energy challenge, leading the way in Small Modular Reactor technology and shaping the UK’s premier green export opportunity.Our Customer Commercial team plays a key role in supporting the commercial foundations required to secure our first SMR order and deliver future fleet deployment. We partner with strategic customers to establish robust commercial agreements, develop pricing and contracting approaches, and support long term commercial success of the SMR programme.In this context, we’re looking for a **Senior Commercial Officer – Customer** to support and lead on a wide range of customer‑related commercial activities. This role supports and leads on elements of the preparation of commercial submissions, coordination of negotiation materials, managing customer‑facing documentation and contribution to the governance and maturity of our commercial processes.**We’ll need you to:*** Support the preparation and approval of customer proposals, including document review, formatting and analysis of contract terms and pricing summaries for governance purposes.* Assist with customer negotiations by preparing negotiation plans, packs, booklets and supporting materials.* Provide support to the drafting, reviewing and finalising of customer‑facing commercial agreements.* Manage the Customer Commercial shared inbox and triage incoming requests to ensure effective communication flow.* Lead internal coordination including meetings, action tracking, senior meeting materials and reporting.* Maintain commercial governance and lead on areas of continuous improvement across processes, templates and reporting structures.* Present information clearly and concisely for both internal and external stakeholders.As you can see, this is a role that underpins the efficiency and effectiveness of our customer commercial activity, and you’ll bring strong organisation, communication and a proactive mindset to support the delivery of the UK’s clean‑energy future.**You’ll bring:*** Experience supporting commercial contracting or pricing activities, and/or other suitable transferable skills, with a working knowledge of contracting and/or commercial terms.* Experience supporting the drafting, negotiation and management of contracts or commercial agreements.* Ability to lead coordinating and managing multiple workstreams, maintaining records, preparing documentation and supporting the shared inbox management.* Strong organisational, interpersonal and document‑management skills, with excellent attention to detail.* Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, Excel and Teams/SharePoint.* Strong written communication skills and experience preparing and presenting clear, concise materials to a range of stakeholders.* Demonstrating experience interfacing with stakeholders across a variety of functions.**Location & Ways of Working**This role can be based from our Derby, Warrington or Manchester offices, with hybrid working and regular weekly attendance expected.The salary band for this role is **£44,625 - £55,125** dependent on the skills, experience and values you bring.
