Developing commissioning specifications and options appraisals
Engaging with providers and internal stakeholders
Preparing business cases, reports and supporting documentation
Contributing to wider Adult Social Care commissioning projects as directed
Essential requirements: Proven commissioning experience within a Local Authority
Strong understanding of Adult Social Care, particularly supported living
Experience of provider engagement and contract development
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage project-based work with minimal supervision
Contract details: Start date: 12 January 2026 End date: 14 June 2026 Interviews: Taking place in the New Year Working arrangements: This is a hybrid role, ideally requiring one day per week in the office. Remote candidates will be considered due to the project-based nature of the work. Occasional travel to Solihull may be required for stakeholder engagement. The successful candidate will be required to drive and have access to their own vehicle. Pay rates:
PAYE: £23.37
£26.62 per hour
Rates are flexible for the right candidate, ideally within the ranges above. Part-time arrangements will also be considered for exceptional candidates. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced commissioning professional to contribute to meaningful service development within Adult Social Care on a fixed-term basis.
