Job Title: Senior Credit ControllerAbout the RoleWorking closely with the Credit Control Manager, the Senior Credit Controller will take a proactive role in managing the sales ledger, driving cash collection and supporting process improvements within the finance function.This position requires someone confident in handling complex accounts, building strong B2B relationships and contributing to reporting and month-end processes.Key ResponsibilitiesTake ownership of a section of the sales ledger, ensuring timely collection of outstanding paymentsProactively manage aged debt, reducing overdue balances and escalating issues where necessaryBuild and maintain strong relationships with customers to resolve queries efficientlyProcess and allocate payments accurately (bank transfers, cheques, card payments)Perform credit checks on new and existing customers and make recommendations on credit limitsWork closely with Dispatch to release held orders in line with agreed credit termsInvestigate and resolve invoice and account queriesIssue credits and process refunds as requiredManage EDI and daily invoice distributionCollect and attach PODs to outstanding invoicesPerform bank reconciliationsContribute to month-end reporting and provide analysis on aged debtIdentify opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies within credit controlSkills & Experience RequiredProven experience within a B2B Credit Control or Sales Ledger roleExperience managing larger or more complex accountsConfident handling escalations and negotiating payment plansStrong Excel skills (including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs)High attention to detail with strong numerical abilityAbility to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environmentProactive, organised and confident communicatorExperience with NetSuite (desirable but not essential)JBRP1_UKTJ
