The Opportunity
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Design Engineer (Electrical) to join their growing team in Leeds.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Building Services professional who enjoys autonomy, innovation, and collaborative project delivery within a modern engineering consultancy environment.
This is a permanent, full-time role working 36.25 hours per week with an agile/flexible working model.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will play a key role in the Electrical Engineering team and will be given a high degree of responsibility and autonomy.
Acting as Project Leader on selected schemes
Supporting larger multidisciplinary teams on complex projects
Attending senior stakeholder meetings and delivering client presentations
Driving technical excellence within the Electrical discipline
Developing into a key point of contact for major clients
Supporting repeat business through strong customer care and delivery
Working across technically challenging projects in varied sectors
Managing projects from concept through to completion
Mentoring and guiding Junior Engineers
Producing drawings, specifications and technical documentation
Producing electrical calculations or overseeing their completion
Collaborating closely with internal teams to ensure successful delivery
Experience & Qualifications Required
Applicants should ideally possess:Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
Chartered status or working toward Chartership preferred
HNC / HND candidates with strong relevant design experience also considered
Minimum 3-4 years post-qualification design experience in Building Services
Experience using: Revit, Amtech, Relux / Dialux and Microsoft Office suite
Knowledge of British / European Standards and Building Regulations
Understanding of HV/LV systems
Experience with embedded generation integration
Knowledge of renewable technologies
Working knowledge of BREEAM
Appreciation of Mechanical Building Services for multidisciplinary meetings
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Motivated, proactive, and keen to continue developing professionally
Knowledge of HTM standards
Professional membership such as CIBSE or IET
