The Senior Design Manager role

\n \nDrive design strategy for major hospital projects.\n

\n

\nAct as the strategic lead, ensuring technically compliant, cost-efficient solutions aligned with client requirements.\n

\n

\nInfluence early-stage design decisions and submissions to maximise value and win work.\n

\n

\nCollaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver innovative, compliant solutions.\n

\n

\nEnsure adherence to statutory requirements, planning permissions, Building Regulations, CDM regulations, and contract-specific standards.\n

\n

\nIdentify opportunities for design improvement and manage risks effectively.\n

\n \n \n Your Profile \n \nWe're looking for a driven leader who thrives on complexity and client engagement:\n \n

\n \nChartered professional (CIOB, RICS, ICE, RIBA).\n

\n

\nExtensive experience in design management for large-scale projects (£300m+), ideally healthcare.\n

\n

\nStrong knowledge of CDM and Building Regulations.\n

\n

\nExpertise in P23, NEC3 contracts, and healthcare sector delivery.\n

\n

\nProven ability to lead strategically, influence decisions, and build strong client relationships.\n

\n
