Our Design Managers work across the project lifecycle in asset planning / strategy, concept design, outline design and detailed design. We work in a variety of project areas within the water sector, including clean water treatment and networks, wastewater treatment, wastewater networks, flooding, and urban drainage. Our local design teams are involved in large partnership initiatives such as Hull and East Riding's Living with Water partnership, award-winning projects such as the Clifton Integrated Constructed Wetland project and will be supporting multiple water companies throughout AMP 8.

This includes Yorkshire Water's Storm Overflow Alliance, United Utilities' Design Development Partnership, Northumbrian Water's Strategic Technical Partnership and more across the UK.

As Senior Design Manager, you will play a fundamental role within projects to identify innovative and sustainable solutions, work collaboratively with the client, plan technical delivery, and lead the multidisciplinary team throughout the project. You will work alongside the Project Manager to deliver best value and client service excellence and have access to Stantec's world-class expertise to help you deliver leading edge design.

About You

We are looking for someone who has a passion for solving engineering problems, the ability to lead and inspire and the confidence to drive through challenging solutions. You will be a degree qualified (or equivalent) Engineer and ideally chartered, or a member of a relevant engineering institution (e.g. ICE). Support can be given to achieve this if required.

You will also have experience of leading multidisciplinary teams within the engineering or utilities sectors, delivering expert design solutions to clientele.
