Are you an experienced Design Manager or Senior Design Manager ready to take the reins of a major residential landmark in Central London?

We’re representing one of the UK’s most respected Tier 1 main contractors, renowned for delivering complex high-specification residential schemes with precision, innovation, and commercial clarity.

This is a flagship luxury apartment project, and you'll be joining right at the start of the journey, giving you full influence over design, buildability, and coordination strategies from day one.

The Project:

A multi-phase, multi-block high-rise residential development with luxury finishes, bespoke façades, and complex structural and MEP interfaces. With a programme spanning several years, you’ll play a key role in driving the design programme across concept, technical delivery, and construction stages.

The Role:

You’ll act as the design lead within the delivery team, managing all consultant outputs, driving design compliance, and ensuring seamless integration between architectural design, engineering, and site execution.

Your remit will include:

• Design programme management and progress tracking

• Chairing design team meetings and technical workshops

• Buildability reviews, value engineering, and technical risk mitigation

• Managing planning conditions, BREEAM targets, and statutory approvals

• Coordinating with pre-construction, procurement, and site teams to ensure timely release of information

• Ensuring alignment with project BIM protocols and digital delivery frameworks

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience as a Design Manager or Senior DM on major RC frame residential or mixed-use schemes

• Background in architecture, structural or Project Management preferred

• Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations, fire safety strategy, and interface management

• Excellent leadership and coordination skills with ability to resolve complex design issues collaboratively

• Experience working within a Tier 1 contractor or high-end developer environment or Large residential developer.

Package:

• Design Manager: £60,000 – £75,000

• Senior Design Manager: £75,000 – £95,000

• Full package incl. bonus, pension, travel, and structured progression
