Job Summary/Purpose and Role
To provide the leadership and management of EC&I engineering team in the delivery of Aquila’s major projects or workstreams. Responsible for producing EC&I engineering elements associated with successful delivery of machine design and build projects through the design process from concept to manufacture, testing and handover. Working as part of a project team, you will also manage design output of Aquila’s sub-contractors, from concept to validation for EC&I elements.
Reporting directly to the Technical Manager to produce EC&I design and associated documentation in the production of engineering concepts and technical solutions compliant with company and international standards.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
• To progress the technical delivery of the EC&I elements of engineering projects, as allocated, in alignment with the Technical Manager, Project Engineering Manager and Project Manager.
• To support Project Managers to ensure EC&I designs meets requirement.
• To ensure EC&I project scope is satisfied efficiently and effectively.
• Work alongside multi-disciplined design teams to ensure designs are fit for purpose and identify design solutions that integrate electrical and control requirements effectively.
• Peer review of EC&I content of projects produced either in-house or by sub-contractor for adherence to industry standards and project specification requirements.
• Provide technical support to the commercial department.
• Witnessing factory acceptance tests and projects sign off.
• To provide analyses and understand technical tender specifications, producing the technical aspects of tender returns and creating accurate tender design estimates.
• To assist in general clerical and administrative duties to ensure the smooth running of the EC&I department within the Engineering Department.
• Understanding of GDPR/data protection legislation procedures and requirements in a highly regulated environment.
• To support business change, via effective change management processes in the context of Aquila Nuclear Engineering fast-paced regulatory environment
