Overview:
We are seeking a skilled EC&I Engineer to join our clients team, specialising in the design, installation, and maintenance of advanced automatic door and access systems. The successful candidate will work on a wide range of systems, from pedestrian doors to oversized industrial and safety-critical doors used in nuclear, defence, transport, and high-hazard facilities. This role requires technical expertise in electrical, control, and safety systems, along with a strong understanding of regulatory compliance and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead multi-departmental integration to define project scope and support Functional Design Specifications. Conduct site assessments to evaluate existing systems and verify modification requirements. Design control systems, including wiring schematics, panel assemblies, and cable schedules. Analyse and verify Performance Levels (PL) of safety-related parts of control systems using SISTEMA. Produce EC&I drawings, documentation, and calculations in compliance with standards. Provide technical support to site teams, including fault diagnosis and troubleshooting. Review and verify EC&I drawings and documentation produced by other engineers. Ensure adherence to electrical and safety regulations and company processes.
