Senior Electrical Engineer - Building Services Bristol (Hybrid Working Available) I'm currently working with a well-established
building services engineering consultancy
based in Bristol that is looking to add a
Senior Electrical Engineer
to its growing team. This consultancy has been delivering innovative mechanical and electrical design solutions for
over three decades , supporting clients across a wide range of sectors including
education, healthcare, commercial, residential, leisure, and industrial developments . Their engineers work collaboratively with architects, developers and contractors to deliver high-quality, sustainable building services solutions from concept through to completion. The business is particularly recognised for its focus on
energy-efficient design and sustainable engineering , providing expertise in areas such as
low-carbon technologies, building performance modelling, lighting and power distribution, and building environmental performance . With a strong reputation in the South West and a diverse project portfolio ranging from
large education schemes and healthcare facilities to complex refurbishment projects and commercial developments , this is a great opportunity for a senior engineer looking to take a leading role in project delivery while contributing to the development of a growing team. Key Responsibilities Lead the
electrical design and delivery of building services projects
from concept through to completion Design electrical systems including
power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, data and specialist systems Produce and review
electrical calculations, reports, specifications and technical drawings Act as a
key point of contact for clients , attending meetings and providing technical guidance Coordinate with
architects, contractors and multidisciplinary design teams
to ensure successful project delivery Oversee project programmes, ensuring
quality, compliance and deadlines are met Ensure all designs comply with
relevant UK regulations, standards and industry best practice Mentor and support junior and intermediate engineers , contributing to their technical development Requirements Significant experience in
electrical building services design within a consultancy environment Strong understanding of electrical systems design across a range of
building sector projects Excellent knowledge of
British Standards, regulations and industry guidance Experience with electrical design software such as
Amtech, Dialux/Relux or similar Experience working within
Revit/BIM environments
would be beneficial Strong communication skills with the ability to
lead meetings and manage client relationships Degree or HND/HNC in
Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering Progress towards
Chartered Engineer status
