A leading main contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join their pre-construction team, working on high-profile projects valued at £50m+ across the hotel, commercial and high-spec residential sectors .

The Role As Senior Estimator, you will play a key role within the pre-construction team, leading the preparation of accurate and competitive tenders for large and complex projects. You will work closely with internal teams, consultants, and supply chain partners to develop robust cost plans and winning bid strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for projects valued £50m+ Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to produce accurate pricing Manage the tender process from initial enquiry through to submission Engage with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotations Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving strategies Collaborate with design, planning, and commercial teams during the pre-construction phase Present cost plans and tender proposals to senior management About You
Proven experience as a Senior Estimator or Estimator within a main contractor Strong background delivering major projects (£30m£100m+) Experience within hotel, commercial, or high-end residential sectors Excellent knowledge of construction methods, procurement routes, and market pricing Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple tenders within tight deadlines
