Senior Estimator We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Estimator to join a growing main contractor delivering high quality industrial, logistics and data centre projects across the UK. This is a senior role where you will take a lead position within the estimating team, driving the preparation of competitive, de‑risked and commercially robust tenders across a strong pipeline of projects. The role is based in Hertfordshire with excellent transport links via the M1, M25, A1(M) and A414, making it ideal for candidates travelling from Hertfordshire, North London, Bedfordshire and surrounding regions.
Job Summary
You will lead on major bids, manage the financial and commercial elements of tender submissions, engage with the supply chain and ensure all estimates are developed accurately, on time and in line with company standards. The goal is to deliver winning bids that offer value, reduce risk and support long‑term project success.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Lead relevant tenders, pricing strategies and estimating resources with strong commercial insight
Identify value opportunities and risk mitigation strategies throughout the tender lifecycle
Oversee tender progress and report consistently against the estimating plan
Manage the pricing process and maintain clear communication with internal stakeholders
Lead the supply chain enquiry process, securing accurate and timely cost information
Maintain and update the cost base, framework rates and benchmarking data
Produce thorough handover and control documents պաշտոն delivery teams
Work collaboratively with design, commercial and project delivery functions
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
Degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying, Construction or Engineering
Strong estimating experience within construction, ideally across industrial, logistics or large‑scale build
Excellent IT capability including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Strong numerical accuracy, analytical capability and attention to detail
Commercially aware, proactive and able to lead within a team environment
Open to learning, feedback and continuous professional development
