Our Geo-Environmental Division provides site investigation services, land quality assessments, and technical guidance to help reduce uncertainty and support informed decision-making.

The Role

We are looking for a Senior Geo-Environmental Consultant to join our Bristol team. This is a key role for someone with around 5 years of consultancy experience, who enjoys a mix of fieldwork, reporting, and project management responsibilities.

You’ll contribute to the delivery of a wide range of contaminated land and ground risk projects and play an important role in mentoring more junior colleagues as part of a supportive, collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver site investigations and environmental monitoring

Lead field-based elements of Phase 1, 2 and 3 assessments

Prepare and review high-quality factual and interpretive reports

Assess laboratory data and develop conceptual site models

Support project management activities including budgets, schedules, and client communication

Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and subconsultants as needed

Assist with proposal writing and fee estimations

Maintain high standards of health and safety

Support the development of junior team members through on-the-job learning

About You

A degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or a related discipline

Around 5 years’ experience in geo-environmental consultancy

Strong technical knowledge of contaminated land risk assessment and UK guidance (e.g. CLR11, LCRM)

Confident in scoping, managing, and delivering Phase 2 site investigations

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Able to work collaboratively and independently, contributing to team culture

Some experience in project coordination or management

Full UK driving licence
