The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead and deliver technically robust geotechnical solutions across a diverse project portfolio. This is a key role within the team, combining technical leadership, project management and client engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the planning, design and delivery of ground investigations
Interpret geotechnical data and produce factual and interpretative reports
Provide foundation and earthworks design recommendations
Undertake geotechnical risk assessments and slope stability analysis
Manage projects from tender stage through to completion
Liaise directly with clients, contractors and regulatory bodies
Supervise site works including drilling, trial pitting and testing
Mentor and support junior engineers and technicians
Ensure compliance with health & safety and quality management systems
About You
Degree qualified in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology or similar
6+ years' relevant consultancy experience
Strong knowledge of UK ground investigation standards and Eurocodes
Experience producing interpretative reports and foundation design recommendations
Proficient in relevant geotechnical software (e.g. SLOPE/W, AutoCAD, etc.)
Working towards or already Chartered (ICE or Geological Society desirable)
Full UK driving licence
