Senior Health & Safety Advisor

£45,000 - £60,000 plus package

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Health & Safety Advisor to join a leading UK principal contractor, supporting on a large heavy civil engineering project on part of the HS2 framework. The project will work across multiple sites in the North East Birmingham region.

The ideal candidate will have civil engineering/infrastructure experience and be happy to be based in a site-focused position.

The Senior Health & Safety Advisor will be responsible for:

• Support the delivery of the Health & Safety Strategy
• Drive performance against HSW KPIs at project and business levels
• Provide support and guidance on accident, incident and near-miss investigations
• Undertake regular site inspections when required
• Produce formal inspection and performance reports for leadership
• Ensure robust health & safety risk management processes are in place

The Senior Health & Safety Advisor will have:

• 3 years' experience working in health & safety
• NEBOSH Diploma level qualified or working towards
• Experience working in a heavy civil engineering industry or wider infrastructure would be considered
• Site-focused position, on a complex project with a varied risk profile.
• Enthusiastic and people-focused health & safety professional.
