Role Overview
We are recruiting for a Senior IT Supplier Specialist who will support the IT Leadership team by ensuring effective management of our suppliers and partners, maximizing value from these relationships. The role involves acting as an SME within the IT function, working closely with procurement, legal, information security, and operational resilience teams to ensure IT Supplier contracts are fit for purpose and meet service requirements. Responsibilities include creating, improving, and optimizing supplier value, providing assurance, governance, and compliance related to service, risk, commercial, and cyber aspects. This ensures third-party suppliers are governed appropriately, enabling Skipton Building Society to achieve business and technical goals while reducing supply chain risk.

Team Structure
You will report to the Senior IT Service Delivery within the IT department, part of the broader Technology, Transformation and Resilience function comprising around 400 technology professionals.

Key Responsibilities
- Support IT leadership in supplier management best practices and governance
- Translate procurement policies into actionable processes and reports
- Manage relationship meetings, performance monitoring, and risk tracking
- Ensure contractual obligations are understood and fulfilled
- Identify value-added services from suppliers
- Collaborate with Legal, Procurement, and Security teams to ensure contracts are compliant
- Report on supplier performance and risks
- Manage contracts related to internal IT services
- Stay updated on industry best practices and communicate relevant insights
- Represent IT at supplier meetings, ensuring technology considerations are addressed
Candidate Requirements
- Experience in technology environment and service management processes
- Proven ability to monitor, measure, and report on suppliers
- Knowledge of supplier risk, cyber security, and contractual/legal practices (advantageous)
- Self-motivated with strong relationship-building skills
- Ability to organize, follow processes, and maintain accurate records
- Dependability and accountability
- Confident and able to challenge appropriately
