Join Gallagher as a Senior Legal Counsel and play a key role in shaping the future of our insurance broking and risk management businesses across the UK and EMEA.
As a Senior Counsel, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our insurance broking and risk management businesses. You will lead on managing complex legal risks, providing expert counsel, and supporting high-impact projects, including business integration and regulatory changes. Based in London or one of our regional hubs, with hybrid working available.
How you'll make an impact
- Lead the legal review of material commercial and regulatory arrangements, aligning risk management with business objectives.
- Provide expert legal advice on a wide range of contracts, including NDAs, Client Services Agreements, Insurer TOBAs, Delegated Authority Agreements, and IT supplier agreements.
- Act as a trusted intermediary between the business and external counsel, managing engagements and budgets effectively.
- Support transformative projects, including business integration and regulatory initiatives.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, influencing key decisions.
- Develop legal templates, guidance notes, and playbooks to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
- Stay ahead of legal and regulatory developments, ensuring the business is well-prepared for future challenges.
About You
- A qualified solicitor or barrister with extensive experience in commercial contracts.
- Strong knowledge of the insurance industry and familiarity with FCA regulations.
- Proven ability to manage diverse teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and commercial awareness skills.
- A track record of delivering results under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Right to work in the UK.
