Serve as a key legal advisor focusing on technology, artificial intelligence (AI), and procurement matters. Ensure Mambu’s activities in these areas comply with relevant laws and regulations while enabling strategic business growth. Provide critical insights to senior leadership, navigating the complex legal landscape of evolving technologies and contractual relationships.

Technology, Regulatory & AI Legal

Provide expert legal counsel on all aspects of technology, including new product offerings, intellectual property, and OSS matters. Advise on legal requirements related to the development, deployment, and use of AI and machine learning technologies, including ethical AI considerations. Provide regulatory expertise in relation to product compliance with banking laws and technology regulations such as DORA, NIS2, and the EU Data Act.

Vendor Contracts

Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of vendor agreements (incl. infrastructure providers, critical suppliers). Develop and implement standardized contract templates and processes to streamline procurement activities, including automation and legaltech.

Sales Contracts

Support legal contracts team in negotiating customer contracts as needed.

What You’ll Bring

A bachelor’s degree in Law (master’s preferred). Minimum 8 years of experience as a legal counsel, with a strong focus on technology in the financial sector. Regulatory experience in the financial sector and ability to navigate cross‑border requirements. Demonstrated experience advising on AI‑related legal matters. Proven ability to negotiate technology contracts with vendors and ensure adequate compliance controls. Strong sense of ownership, inquisitive, enthusiastic about technology, and can demonstrate sound judgment in ambiguous situations. Ability to drive internal improvements with a mindset that looks for better ways of doing things.
