Reporting to the Head of Legal in London, you will lead negotiations on complex, high-value and strategic client contracts, primarily within the UK, while supporting transactions across Endava’s global footprint.This is a senior, business-facing role focused on enterprise technology deals. You will partner closely with Sales and senior stakeholders to structure transactions, balance risk with commercial objectives, and enable strategic growth. You will also play a key role in advancing our legal operations capabilities, including contract automation and responsible adoption of Legal AI tools.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the drafting and negotiation of complex commercial contracts, including Master Services Agreements, Statements of Work, NDAs, licensing agreements, data protection/security terms, and technology arrangements (e.g. outsourcing, managed services, SaaS, cloud and AI-enabled solutions).Act as legal lead on strategic and enterprise deals, advising on negotiation strategy, risk allocation, governance and approvals.Partner with Sales, Procurement, Finance, Compliance and Security teams to align legal advice with business objectives and delivery models.Provide clear, pragmatic advice to senior stakeholders on legal and commercial risk, offering structured options and recommendations.Develop and refine contract templates, playbooks and guidance to drive standardisation and scalable contracting approaches.Contribute to the evolution of legal operations, including contract lifecycle management, automation initiatives and responsible integration of AI tools.Mentor and support junior team members where appropriate.QualificationsAbout YouQualified solicitor (England & Wales) or equivalent, with 6–10 years’ PQE gained at a recognised law firm and/or in-house.Strong experience leading negotiations on complex technology and commercial contracts, ideally within IT services, digital transformation or managed services environments.Sound understanding of key risk areas in global commercial contracting, including intellectual property, data privacy and emerging technologies such as AI.Commercially astute and pragmatic, with the confidence to advise senior stakeholders on risk appetite and strategic trade-offs.Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, multi-jurisdictional environment and managing competing priorities.Experience with contract lifecycle management systems and legal technology tools; demonstrable interest in leveraging AI responsibly to improve efficiency and quality.High attention to detail, strong judgement and the ability to maintain pace on high-stakes negotiations.Why This Role?This is an opportunity to operate at the heart of strategic growth in a global technology services business.
