Overview We are seeking an experienced Logistics Contract Manager to own and develop strategic relationships with our third‑party logistics partners. This is a high‑impact role, responsible for managing complex logistics contracts across transport, warehousing and co‑packing. While also driving service excellence, cost optimisation and continuous improvement across UK and export operations. You will also have 3 direct reports (at manager level). Key Responsibilities
Own the full lifecycle of logistics contracts with 3PL partners, from tendering and negotiation through onboarding, performance management, renewal and exit. Lead contract governance through structured monthly and quarterly reviews, SLA/KPI tracking and issue resolution.
Performance, Cost & Continuous Improvement
Develop and manage partner scorecards covering service, cost, quality, claims and sustainability metrics. Drive year‑on‑year cost and service improvements through network optimisation, productivity initiatives and tender re‑sets.
Stakeholder Engagement
Act as the senior relationship owner for key transport, warehousing and co‑packing providers. Collaborate closely with Customer Service, Planning, Legal, Quality and Sustainability teams to support customer requirements and manage risk. Support export operations across Europe and global markets, including coordination with forwarders and customs brokers.
Systems, Data & Process
Leverage the Transport Management System (currently E2Open) and partner data to improve visibility, planning and performance analytics. Lead root‑cause analysis and corrective action plans for service failures and damages. Champion accurate master data, EDI flows and process standardisation.
Qualifications & Experience
Significant experience managing complex logistics contracts within FMCG or food environments. Strong experience managing 3PL performance across multi‑site UK networks with EU export exposure. Working knowledge of BRC logistics/warehousing standards and food safety requirements. Commercially astute negotiator with a structured, disciplined approach to contract governance. Credible and influential communicator, comfortable engaging senior stakeholders and chairing QBRs/MBRs. Strong continuous improvement mindset. Curious and forward‑thinking, with experience digitalising supply chain processes and adopting AI‑enabled tools.
