Were recruiting a hands-on Senior Maintenance Engineer / Manager (Electrical) to lead and improve site maintenance at a well-established manufacturing business in Leeds!
This role is ideal for a hands-on maintenance leader who thrives both on the tools and in team management. You will oversee all maintenance activities across the site, ensuring machinery reliability, managing preventative maintenance schedules, and maintaining high safety and operational standards.
This is a Full-Time, Permanent role offering long-term stability, strong earning potential, and the opportunity to play a key role in maintaining and improving site operations.
What youll be doing
Lead and support the site maintenance team, allocating daily tasks and monitoring performance
Carry out hands-on maintenance and fault finding across manufacturing machinery and site equipment
Develop and manage preventative maintenance programmes to ensure machinery reliability
Plan and coordinate maintenance activities to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency
Manage external contractors and ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with site procedures
Ensure LOLER inspections, electrical systems, and site equipment remain compliant and well maintained
Maintain maintenance records, spare parts inventory, and support continuous improvement across the site
Hours
Flexible day shifts, Monday-Friday either 6am3pm or 7am4pm
Pay
£50,000 - £55,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Attendance bonuses (up to £1000)
Skills/Experience Required
Essential
18th Edition Electrical qualification
Proven experience in a maintenance leadership or supervisory role
Strong hands-on maintenance experience within an industrial or manufacturing environment
Electrical and mechanical fault-finding experience
Ability to manage maintenance planning and preventative maintenance programmes
Strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills
Desirable
Experience managing subcontractors and external service providers
Knowledge of LOLER regulations and lifting equipment maintenance
Mechanical engineering qualifications
