Senior Manufacturing Engineer A leading clean-energy technology company is expanding and seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to drive process excellence across high-value, next-generation energy products. About the Role As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will act as a subject matter expert for manufacturing processes, supporting continuous improvement across cell production. Youll work cross-functionally with engineering, operations and external partners to enhance product quality, optimise processes, and reduce cost. The role also includes mentoring engineers and shaping best practice across the organisation. This is a high-impact, hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys ownership, problem-solving and making measurable improvements on the factory floor. Key Responsibilities Lead manufacturing process development and optimisation initiatives

Apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to improve efficiency and product quality

Use analytical tools such as value stream mapping and cycle time analysis

Support technology transfer activities including FAT, documentation, training and partner engagement

Apply SPC techniques (control charts, Cp/Cpk, gauge R&R) and conduct risk assessments (PFMEA, DFM/A, DRBFM)

Provide technical leadership and coach others in structured problem-solving

Advise on long-term manufacturing strategies and best practices

Requirements Degree in Chemical, Process, Manufacturing or similar engineering discipline

Strong experience as a Manufacturing Engineer in a production environment

Practical expertise in at least one relevant industrial process, e.g.: Heat treatment

Deposition techniques (e.g. screen printing)

Laser ablation or welding

Ceramics processing

Good understanding of Lean, Six Sigma and SPC tools

Clear communicator with a mindset for innovation and mentoring

Eligible to work on-site (no hybrid/remote options for this position)

Desirable Skills Experience in high-tech, energy, materials, automotive, defence or electronics manufacturing

Prior involvement in scaling new processes or technology transfer

Six Sigma certification (Green/Black Belt)

Experience with sustainability or cost-reduction programmes
