Job Description
We are supporting a leading contracting business in the search for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their Technical Services team. This is a permanent role, primarily based between Greenwich and Canary Wharf.\n\nType: Permanent\nDepartment: Technical Services\nHours: 08:00 - 17:00 (1-hour lunch) - flexible according to business needs\nLocation: Greenwich and Canary Wharf\nSalary: Dependent on experienceRole Overview:\n The Senior Mechanical Engineer will provide expert mechanical design and technical support across a range of projects. You will work closely with clients and project teams to ensure high-quality delivery and compliance with design intent.
Key responsibilities include:\n\nDeveloping strong client relationships and providing trusted technical advice.\nAssisting with the assessment of new projects and supporting proposals.\nProducing, reviewing, and approving mechanical working drawings and technical submittals from Stage 5 onwards.\nCarrying out mechanical calculations and delivering design solutions from initial brief to detailed design.\nMonitoring on-site construction work to ensure compliance with design standards and company quality requirements.\nLeading testing and commissioning activities, including ISTs and Black Building Tests.\nConducting technical evaluations of existing buildings to inform short- and long-term mechanical strategies, including: \nEnergy performance assessments\nLoad and capacity reviews\nLife cycle replacement reports\nSingle point of failure (SPOF) analysis\nResiliency assessmentsBenefits:\n\nEligibility to join the Employee-Owned Trust (EOT) scheme after 12 months\nPrivate healthcare and dental insurance\nLife insurance\nPension scheme\nLength of service rewards\nEmployee discount schemes\nAccess to private financial adviceOur client is committed to creating an inclusive and supportive workplace where innovation, dedication, and teamwork are highly valued
