Job Description

We provide the front end design and engineering capability across the Programme and Project Partners (PPP) portfolio. We are looking for people who are passionate about developing themselves and in meeting new challenges.\n\nAs a result of increasing demand for our services, there are significant opportunities for you to support a key project within the nuclear business.\n\nWe are currently looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join the team in Birchwood.\n\nAs a Senior Mechanical Engineer you will be responsible for;\n\n * Managing and directing designers in delivery of mechanical plant and equipment\n\n * Prioritising work to support manufacturer schedules\n\n * Working knowledge of plant layout, set up, installation and alignment of plant and equipment and machinery for works test, integrated test and site installation.\n\n * Writing and checking works test requirement documentation and Integrated works test documents for Plant, Equipment and machinery.\n\n * Interaction with CE&I engineers will be required to ensure complete multi-disciplinary interactions are addressed.\n\n * Writing and checking O&M manuals\n\n * Experience in providing support to resolution of manufacturing, inspection and test Technical Queries/production permits/concessions\n\nAs a Senior Mechanical Engineer you will already have;\n\n * Experience in the use of Auto desk inventor.\n\n * Experience in the use of Auto desk vault Basis or Vault Pro (file management).\n\n * Experience in production and checking of Design justification reports (DJRs)\n\n * Experience and working knowledge of safety cases\n\n * Retrieval of information from DM desktop and other record management systems\n\nWe’ll inspire and empower you to deliver your best work so you can evolve, grow and succeed – today and into tomorrow.
