Senior Mechanical Design Engineer\nLocation: Nottingham\nSalary: £40,000 - £52,000\n\nA multi-disciplinary building services consultancy is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their Nottingham office. This is a key role within an established team, offering the opportunity to lead mechanical design on a variety of technically complex and sustainability-focused projects.\n\nRole Overview\n\nThe successful candidate will work across a wide range of sectors including healthcare, education, residential, commercial, industrial, and zero-carbon developments. You will be responsible for leading mechanical aspects of projects, managing client relationships, and contributing to the development of junior engineers.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Lead mechanical engineering design from feasibility to construction stages\n\n * Act as Project Leader on selected schemes and support senior staff across others\n\n * Produce high-quality mechanical designs, specifications, reports and calculations\n\n * Attend and contribute to client and design team meetings\n\n * Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure integrated solutions\n\n * Guide and support junior engineers with technical and project delivery\n\n * Assist with client presentations and project delivery strategy\n\n * Contribute to a culture of continuous technical improvement and innovation\n\nKey Requirements\n\n * Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering (or HNC/HND with relevant experience)\n\n * Minimum 3–4 years' experience in mechanical design within the built environment\n\n * Strong knowledge of building services regulations and relevant British/European Standards\n\n * Proficiency in design software including Revit, AutoCAD, Relux/Dialux, Amtech, and Microsoft Office\n\n * Experience working with or awareness of HTMs, HV/LV systems, and renewable technologies\n\n * Understanding of low-carbon and sustainable design principles\n\n * Chartered status or working towards professional membership (e.g.
