In this rewarding role, you will have the opportunity to:
Actively participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing your valuable insights and recommendations for holistic client care
Stay up-to-date with the latest research, best practices, and innovative approaches in the field of Occupational Therapy, continuously enhancing your skills and knowledge
Manage your own caseload, conduct comprehensive Occupational Therapy assessments and develop tailored intervention plans
Key Responsibilities:
Uphold clinical governance, ensuring compliance with legislation, standards, and Rocky Bay policies
Work collaboratively across interdisciplinary teams to ensure outstanding customer outcomes
Have a strong understanding of person- and family-centred practice
Ability to implement and promote contemporary best practice
Liaise with the Team Leader if there are performance concerns regarding the clinical practice of a staff member, especially during their probationary period
Provides clinical guidance and leadership to therapists within own discipline across TS, supporting them in developing the fundamental skills, knowledge and competencies or directing them to appropriate subject matter experts (Domain Advisors/Advanced Clinicians); identifying efficient strategies to achieve this across the whole program.
Oversees the Learning & Development (L&D) needs of the discipline
Coordinates, develops and/or conducts orientation/training in fundamental clinical skill development
Collaborate closely with families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to implement personalised treatment plans that promote customer outcomes and overall quality of life
Profile:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
Current AHPRA registration
Proven experience in providing Occupational Therapy services, preferably in a disability or community setting
Minimum 5 years of experience in a previous Occupational Therapist role
Demonstrated ability in coaching, mentoring, and clinical leadership
Experience with complex equipment assessment and prescription (desirable)
A strong understanding of person- and family-centred practice
Proven ability to implement and promote contemporary best practice
Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and time management skills
Sound knowledge of Work Health & Safety and risk management
