Job Description Senior Planner | Energy & Infrastructure

A Day in the Life of a Senior Planner
\n \n Communication: Assimilate complex data and summarize it effectively to communicate the work scope to stakeholders and project teams.
\n
\n Resource Management: Prepare resourced programmes, ensuring the final output conforms with project expectations and requirements.
\n
\n Risk Management: Contribute to the project risk register and undertake detailed programme risk analysis.
\n
\n Visual Planning: Prepare visual materials and diagrams in support of planned construction methods.
\n
\n Documentation: Manage project documentation in an orderly fashion.
\n
\n Methodology: Define methods and establish outputs in consultation with Estimators, team members, and the supply chain.
\n
\n Technical Liaison: Coordinate with Design Engineers to establish briefs for temporary works.
\n
\n Estimation Support: Provide the Estimator with justified schedules for temporary works and other indirect cost items.
\n
\n Bid & Handover: Attend bid review and handover meetings to provide a clear view of the work scope and delivery intentions.
\n
\n Feedback Loops: Advise project teams on required feedback reports and support in consultation with the Estimating department.
\n
Candidate Requirements
\n \n Proven Experience: Extensive background in Major Civil Engineering and/or Construction projects.
\n
\n Sector Expertise: Direct experience working on HV Power, Transmission & Distribution projects.
\n
\n Technical Proficiency: Expert use of planning software such as P6, Asta, TILOS, or QSRA.
\n
\n Planning Techniques: Active experience with a wide range of planning techniques serving both tendering and contract delivery.
\n
\n Commercial Awareness: A clear understanding of the commercial and contractual interfaces within the planning function.
\n
