Senior Planner (MEP)\n\n \n\nManchester \n\n \n\nPermanent Position\n\n \n\nCompetitive salary, car or car allowance + flexible benefits \n\n \n\nWe have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Planner from an MEP background, to join our NW team.\n\n \n\nThe main purpose of the role is to plan the allocated high value / complex project producing workable realistic and efficient programmes of work which meet an appropriate standard for the contract conditions and both internal and client requirements. Plans will be implemented with the best-practice approach utilising Critical Path Analysis, Resource Planning, Cost Management and Progress/Productivity Monitoring and Control. \n\n \n\nThis is a permanent staff position with NG Bailey. \n\n \n\nResponsibilities\n\n \n\nKey deliverables in this role are:\n\n \n\nArrange and facilitate internal integrated planning meetings with relevant project stakeholders to agree the team input into the project plan and work closely with said team and our external customer.
Produce and agree a ‘Contract Baseline’ programme for each allocated project; that aligns with the agreed formal contract, price and work scope, and reduces risk for NG Bailey.\n\nIn conjunction with the Planning Manager, ensure that planning outputs / reports are produced in a timely manner for all contract reviews. Support operational teams in order to ascertain whether project targets are being achieved and to jointly establish and agree any corrective measures to be taken where necessary.\n\nTake responsibility for all allocated projects, ensuring that progress and productivity is effectively monitored against project plan, produce and circulate clear reports to the appropriate stakeholders in a concise and timely manner (e.g. Resource Histograms, 'S' Curves, Earned Value Analysis).\n\nMaintain and update contract baseline in line with agreed contract change (eg variations).
Ensure that change impacts are effectively communicated to Operations and Commercial Teams. Ensure that the of variations are communicated and integrated into project plans.\n\nIn conjunction with the Planning Manager, perform Time/Risk analysis against programmes at regular intervals with the Project Manager throughout the whole project life cycle.\n\nParticipate within bid activity as requested by the senior management; working in conjunction with the Business Development department, in line with the Focus Win processes.\n\nEnsure that all planning related activities are carried out in compliance with contractual obligations, internal processes and external legislation governing business operations.\n\n \n\nRequirements\n\n \n\nTo be successful in this role you will have:\n\n \n\nExperience working as a planner or senior planner on medium/large scale MEP projects is essential\n\nAsta or Primavera P6\n\nConstruction site experience\n\nRail project experience (desirable)\n\nExperience of NEC 3 contracts (desirable)\n\n \n\nBenefits\n\n \n\nCar/Car allowance or salary sacrifice car scheme\n\n25 days holiday per annum, plus bank holidays\n\nPension with leading provider and up to 8% employer contribution\n\nPrivate healthcare\n\nFree 24/7 365 Employee assistance program to support mental health and wellbeing (including counselling sessions and legal advice)\n\nDiscounts\n\nPersonal development programme\n\nFlexible Benefits\n\n \n\nIf this is of interest, please apply with an up to date CV, and your salary/package expectations\n\nNext Steps: \n\nAs a business, we’re on a journey to build on our culture where everyone is included, treated fairly and with respect.
