Senior / Principal Civil Engineer

Cambridge

£55k-£70k DOE plus benefits

Our client is looking for a Senior / Principal Civil Engineer to join their growing team in Cambridge. They have a multitude of projects at various stages in their project lifecycle, from appraisal through to construction and in several different sectors.

These include residential, leisure, commercial, and retirement & care. Their clients range from local smaller scale businesses to local government, respected regional contractors, housebuilders, and commercial developers.

The Role:

Lead civil engineering design (drainage, highways, S278/S38)

Oversee and mentor junior engineers, supporting ICE progression

Manage resources and review design work

Liaise with architects, developers, and local authorities

Prepare proposals and uphold quality standards

Use AutoCAD and Site 3D (or equivalent)

About You:

Chartered or working towards CEng (ICE)

Degree/HND in Civil Engineering

Strong project and team management experience

Skilled in coordinating with local authorities and stakeholders

Confident handling projects across planning stages
