Senior Process Engineer – Hybrid – Hampshire (UK)
We are looking for an experienced Senior Process Engineer to join a leading engineering consultancy supporting energy transition projects across carbon capture, hydrogen, renewables, and both onshore and offshore oil & gas.
This role offers a flexible hybrid model and the opportunity to work on a range of impactful projects in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
Location Hampshire, UK – Hybrid working (approx. 60% remote)
Key Responsibilities
Support the Lead Process Engineer in the delivery of project tasks across all phases
Act as discipline representative in design reviews, HAZIDs, HAZOPs, and other key project meetings
Lead process design for assigned units and ensure timely, high-quality outputs
Check and approve process calculations in line with project procedures
Supervise and mentor junior team members, ensuring work complies with required standards
Perform detailed process calculations and verify design accuracy
Prepare key deliverables including Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Equipment Specifications, Process Descriptions, and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
Ensure that design standards, methods, and data align with project requirements
Coordinate interfaces with other disciplines to support integrated project delivery
Contribute to the design of oil and gas process systems and equipment
Support the improvement of internal engineering tools and methodologies
Maintain a strong focus on health, safety, and environmental performance
Follow quality assurance procedures to ensure compliance across deliverables
Requirements
Degree-qualified in Engineering (Chemical, Process, or related discipline)
Experience across Concept, FEED, and Detailed Design phases of onshore and offshore energy projects
Strong working knowledge of process design standards and regulatory frameworks
Familiarity with oil and gas processing systems and safety reviews
Effective communicator with strong organisational and problem-solving skills
Experience coordinating multi-discipline design work is desirable
