Senior Project Manager, AdvertisingSyneos Health Communications – EU Communication, Advertising Business Unit – Senior Project Manager is a crucial role responsible for ensuring delivery to clients on time and within budget, working with Creative Team, Creative Resource, and Client Service teams to achieve this.Key ResponsibilitiesClient FocusPartner closely with the Client Service team to intake on projects, ensuring the brief is filled out accurately and agreed upon.Communicate day‑to‑day with the client around project plans and progress.Proactively reach out to account teams to gain visibility into upcoming work and support organic growth on their account.Pivot project plans as needed in line with client changes/new requirements, in partnership with Client Service teams and the Client.Provide confidence and control across their projects and act as a trusted partner to the CS counterpart.Project ManagementEffectively manage complex projects or larger workstreams, driving the team through each step and forward planning.Facilitate and work closely with cross‑functional team members, with minimal supervision.Understand the necessary steps and stages of a project regardless of type (digital, print, video, event, etc.) and run projects from brief to final delivery.Create timelines for all projects and ensure all milestones are met, flagging and solving potential delays.Own project delivery at each phase, working closely with creatives, client services, and creative resource management.Route projects through the agency throughout the project lifecycle, including kick‑offs, creative concepting, production delivery, and internal reviews.Keep timelines/project plans updated if things change and update account teams throughout the process, flagging warning areas.Set up meetings post‑completion to agree on learnings and drive quality and efficiency.Responsible for routing projects through WRIKE platform.May have line‑management responsibility to junior team members and develop line‑management experience.Financial ManagementResponsible for project recoverability alongside their account counterpart.Develop budgets for all projects, liaising with Client Service teams to confirm brief, creative hours, and obtaining approvals before sharing with clients.Forecast projects in the financial system.May support Junior PMs to forecast and guide them through that process.Track and report financial status of projects against current budget, including burn rate, and assess risks and mitigation with CS.Work closely with finance to ensure financial efficiency and accurate forecasting.Ensure all timesheets are completed accurately on their projects by all team members and on time to support accurate reporting.Resourcing SupportWork closely with Creative Resource to ensure projects are adequately resourced, aligning hours with budget and dates with timeline.Provide creative needs, with clear hours and dates, for all projects to Creative Resource.Come up with solutions for resource clashes or challenges and support mitigations.Qualifications / ExperienceMinimum 5 years’ experience working in a similar advertising project/account management role.Good networking skills and ability to build contacts list for external vendors and internal resources.Maintain professional and effective relationships with account teams.Excellent understanding of capacity planning, utilization figures and working within budgets.Knowledge of project management best practices and ability to advise and manage a wider range of project types: conceptual, digital, video, launch campaigns.Demonstrable knowledge of requirements and operational implications on projects and understanding of client needs (through own project management or account management experience).Production understanding (video, print, digital) and working knowledge in this area is a plus.Healthcare experience is a plus.Proactive and ambitious, always striving to improve systems and bring positive change through good ideas.Excellent time and self‑management skills with ability to manage and deliver multiple projects.Good verbal and written communications and ability to articulate clear direction to designers and studio teams.At Syneos Health, we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace.
