We are supporting a major contractor delivering high-value
datacentre, energy and infrastructure projects
across the UK and Europe and are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong
MEP background
to support the delivery of complex, technically demanding, multi-site programmes.
This role is particularly suited to individuals with proven experience delivering
mission-critical datacentre environments , heavy MEP installations, and infrastructure projects where resilience, sequencing and commissioning are critical.
The Role
You will take a lead role in managing large-scale
MEP-led datacentre and energy infrastructure projects , overseeing Project Managers and Site Managers while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest technical and quality standards.
You will be responsible for coordinating complex mechanical and electrical packages including power distribution, HV/LV systems, generators, UPS, cooling systems, containment, BMS and associated infrastructure within live or critical environments.
Key Responsibilities
Overall responsibility for project delivery from design through to commissioning and handover
Leading the delivery of complex
datacentre and MEP installations
within mission-critical environments
Managing multiple site teams across technically complex programmes
Oversight of MEP coordination, installation sequencing, testing and commissioning
Ensuring integration of mechanical and electrical systems in line with programme milestones
Stakeholder and client management, particularly within technically informed client teams
Supporting commercial performance, change management and programme reporting
Ensuring high standards of health & safety across all sites
Key Requirements
Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager delivering
datacentre and/or mission-critical MEP projects
Strong background in
MEP (Mechanical & Electrical) project delivery , ideally within energy, infrastructure or hyperscale datacentre environments
Experience managing complex commissioning phases and integrated systems
Strong understanding of power, cooling, resilience and critical infrastructure systems
Demonstrable experience managing multi-disciplinary MEP teams
Strong commercial awareness and programme control capability
Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills
