Senior Project Manager

Salary: £110,000 per annum

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of complex engineering projects within the data centre sector. This role carries full accountability for project performance, from initiation through to completion, ensuring alignment with client expectations, commercial objectives, and operational excellence.

The position requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership capabilities, able to manage multiple high-value projects while driving best practices, mitigating risks, and supporting business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of the end-to-end delivery of multiple complex projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Lead, mentor, and support project teams, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring continuous development of team members.
• Oversee project governance, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations, technical specifications, and health & safety regulations.
• Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, building strong relationships and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Drive effective project planning, resource allocation, and risk management strategies to optimise performance and profitability.
• Lead project reviews from handover through execution, identifying risks, opportunities, and key commercial considerations.
• Collaborate closely with commercial and finance teams to monitor project financials, including forecasting, cost control, and margin improvement.
• Ensure robust reporting frameworks are in place, providing clear and timely updates on project performance to senior stakeholders.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance delivery efficiency and project outcomes.
• Support business development activities by contributing technical and delivery expertise during bid and tender stages.

Candidate Profile

• Demonstrable experience as a Senior Project Manager within the data centre, industrial, or energy sectors.
• Strong leadership and team management experience across multiple concurrent projects.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Proven ability to manage complex contracts and deliver commercially successful projects.
• Degree or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline (electrical, mechanical, or similar).
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices.
• Client-focused mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
• Full UK driving licence.
