Join a leading telecommunications company as a Senior Project Manager!

As a Senior Project Manager, you will step into a pivotal role delivering one of the most complex and business‑critical programmes within the Core Network. You’ll lead large‑scale, multi‑workstream projects across the IMS (IP Multimedia Systems) ecosystem, supporting major customer migrations, platform builds, and continuous service evolution. This is a high‑pace, high‑impact role suited to a confident, technically aware delivery leader.

Role Details

• Location: Remote (occasional visits to London, Manchester and Reading)
• Rate: £525 per day (inside IR35)
• Contract Length: until August 2026 (with visibility to extend)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of complex, multi‑disciplinary projects within the IMS programme.
• Govern scope, schedule, cost, quality, risks, and dependencies across cross‑functional teams.
• Drive structured reporting, RAID management, financial tracking, and stakeholder communication.
• Coordinate across design, test, engineering, and operations to ensure seamless delivery.
• Act as the senior escalation point for risks and issues, influencing decisions at senior levels.
• Oversee vendor and supplier governance, ensuring strong commercial performance.
• Identify and implement delivery process improvements to increase efficiency and quality.

Key Requirements

• Proven background in telecoms delivery, ideally within Core Voice, IMS, or network infrastructure.
• Strong organisational capability with the ability to simplify processes and drive performance.
• Technical awareness of 4G/5G fundamentals, Wi‑Fi calling, or core telecoms concepts.
• Resilient, confident communicator comfortable in fast‑paced, high‑pressure environments.
• Experience with Waterfall and Agile frameworks; PRINCE2 or similar beneficial.
• Strong stakeholder management and vendor governance experience.
