Senior Quantity Surveyor | Major Infrastructure | Birmingham | £65k - £75k + Package\n\nI’m working with a leading Tier 1 contractor to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a major infrastructure scheme in Birmingham, kicking off construction in Summer 2026.\n\nThis is a fantastic opportunity to take full commercial ownership of a high-profile project that will deliver meaningful improvements to a key urban transport network.\n\nThe Role;\n\nYou’ll take the lead on all commercial aspects of the project, working closely with the Project Manager and wider delivery team to ensure successful delivery while maximising value and managing risk.\n\nKey responsibilities include:\n\nOwning and driving the commercial strategy, adapting it as the project evolves\n\t\nActing as the commercial lead across the project lifecycle through to final account\n\t\nManaging subcontract procurement – tendering, analysis, negotiation, and award\n\t\nAdministering contracts and maintaining strong commercial governance\n\t\nPreparing, submitting, and agreeing valuations, payments, and final accounts\n\t\nProducing and managing CVRs and forecast final accounts\n\t\nHandling claims, variations, and loss & expense, including detailed substantiation\n\t\nProviding commercial insight and challenge to the wider project team\n\t\nBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders and supply chain\n\nWhat We’re Looking For;\n\nProven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on major infrastructure or civil engineering projects\n\t\nStrong working knowledge of NEC contracts\n\t\nTrack record of managing projects £15m+ commercially through to final account\n\t\nExperience with claims, variations, and commercial risk management\n\t\nExcellent commercial acumen with the ability to influence and challenge\n\t\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills\n\t\nSolid understanding of construction law and industry best practice\n\nWhy Apply?\n\nOpportunity to lead commercially on a flagship regional project\n\t\nJoin a well-established, forward-thinking contractor with a strong pipeline\n\t\nLong-term career development and progression opportunities\n\t\nBe part of a project that will have a lasting impact on the local area\n\nIf you’re a Senior QS looking for your next step on a major scheme in the Midlands, get in touch for a confidential discussion
