Delivering essential infrastructure services for life, while being safety first, and client and customer centric in a friendly, fun and respectful environment where you are encouraged to thrive. \nWhere will you be working? \nAt M Group Highways, we’re supporting the safe transportation and movement of people across the UK.  \nWe don’t just build roads and bridges- we’re building a better future, creating lasting social value that gives back to the communities in which we work.\nYou’ll be joining our Commercial team on the Peterborough Highways project - We deliver specialist civil engineering projects and Highways Maintenance for both private and public sectors across the UK, building strong relationships based on a collaborative approach.\nWant to come and be a part of it? \nWhat will you be doing?\n\nYou'll be providing the commercial function on the Peterborough Highways contract to ensure successful project delivery.\nWorking within a team of talented professionals ensuring co-ordination and provision across all aspects of project delivery.\nYou'll undertake pre-contract setup, including forecasting, measurement, sub-contract tendering and procurement (including drafting to negotiating various forms of subcontract). \nEffectively manage the commercial aspects of the project (or a section of a project) including valuations / applications, budget monitoring, material / plant reconciliation and contract variations / compensation events and change.\nWe'll require you to prepare, manage and negotiate the agreement of Final Accounts.\nProcurement and management of subcontract packages, as well as supporting other members of the commercial team in the management of subcontract packages.\nYou'll produce and maintain, and assist others in producing and maintaining, project forecasts to support the monthly commercial and financial reporting procedures.\n\nThe role will require you to assess, review and mitigate commercial and contractual risks.\nMaximise cashflow through the control and valuation of works, invoicing and payment process.\nYou'll manage commercial team to ensure delivery of above items and develop their knowledge, and provide support and training for site staff on commercial issues.\nYou'll ensure compliance with all legal requirements, including contractual and legislative.\nEnsure compliance with M Group standards and procedures in respect of commercial activities\nWhat you’ll bring\n Degree in Quantity Surveying or other relevant subject.\nStrong level of identifiable commercial experience within the construction industry as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Quantity Surveyor.\nDemonstrable experience of working on Highways Maintenance and Civil Engineering projects.\nStrong working knowledge of NEC3/4 suite of contracts.

In particular Option A.\nDemonstrable experience of the Highways Method of Measurement and using Schedule of Rates.\nGood command and communication of oral and written English.\nGood organisational skills.\nProficient in the use of MS Office (ie.
