Senior Quantity Surveyor\n\nLocation: Exeter\n\nSector: Construction Consultancy\nSalary: Competitive + Excellent Package\n\nThe Opportunity\n\nThis is an outstanding opportunity to join a B Corp–certified, award-winning consultancy that’s shaping the future of construction across the South West.\n\nAs a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll take the lead on high-profile, purpose-driven projects spanning healthcare transformation, education facilities, research environments, and private client developments. With project values typically between £5m and £50m, you’ll have full commercial ownership of schemes that make a genuine impact on local communities.\n\nRole Overview\n\nAs a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will:\n\n * Take ownership of pre- and post-contract cost management across multiple projects.\n\n * Deliver expert budgeting, cost planning, procurement, and contract administration.\n\n * Lead value engineering, risk management, and financial reporting.\n\n * Administer contracts under JCT and NEC frameworks.\n\n * Support and mentor junior surveyors as part of a collaborative, growing team.\n\n * Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring excellence at every stage.\n\nAbout You\n\n * Minimum 4+ years’ PQS / consultancy experience in cost management.\n\n * MRICS qualified (or close to completion).\n\n * Strong technical knowledge of construction methodologies, procurement, and contract administration.\n\n * Proven ability to manage complex budgets, risks, and commercial performance.\n\n * Skilled communicator with experience handling client-facing responsibilities.\n\n * Confident using Microsoft 365 and cost management tools such as CostX, iTWO, or CADMeasure.\n\n * Experienced in NEC and JCT contracts.\n\n * Proactive, detail-focused, and driven to deliver sustainable, value-led outcomes
