My high profile tier one civil engineering client is looking for an experienced senior quantity surveyor to join their established team in Sheffield.\n\nThis is the perfect opportunity for individuals to carve out a long-term career and leave a legacy within an established company.\n\nAs a Senior Quantity Surveyor within the Commercial team, you will be working on the Reactive & Small Scheme Framework. \n\nCandidate Responsibilities:\n\nTake commercial responsibility for a portfolio of works\nManage, train and provide support to a dedicated Commercial team, carrying out regular catch ups on their progress\nProvide advice to the Commercial team and Project staff, on Commercial and contractual matters, including reviewing and drafting of correspondence\nManage and produce formal reports for in the quarterly Commercial board report\nMonitor contract compliance against statutory requirements\nDevelop client relationships, achieving a progressive improvement in customer satisfaction\nOversee and monitor contract costs against agreed budgets\nDevelop and monitor the use of cost and financial reporting systems\nCarry out monthly/periodic financial reviews (CVR's) on portfolio/multiple projects and forecast final outturn values for cost, sales and margin\nPrepare and submit periodic valuations/application for payments ensuring that Client payment and cash collection is achieved in accordance with the contract\nIdentify potential commercial/financial risk and opportunity and evaluate options to mitigate/realise.\nOversee the procedures and liaise with the supply chain for the procurement, negotiation and placing of sub contract and supplier orders\nAssist with tenders, both in terms of formulating and reviewCandidate Requirements:\n\nHave a degree in Quantity Surveying \nHave 3+ years experience working in a Quantity Surveying role \nHave good communication and client facing skills \nAbility to work on own initiative and unsupervised \nDemonstrate ability to lead a team \nRail experience - DesirableAPPLY NOW!\n\nRandstad CPE values and promotes equality.
